LynxPhone Beta available for download

LynxPhone, a VoIP softphone based on Open Standards, was released for Beta downloads. The application is a showcase of the services and products provided by Bitlynx Technologies Inc.

LynxPhone is based on open standards developed by the IETF and inter-operates with other softphones, products and services using the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). It also includes call encryption using TLS, S/MIME and SRTP, which is still not common in most VoIP products.

The interface is completely customizable with interface skins and international language support. It includes G.711, GSM, Speex, Speex Wideband and G.726-32 codecs, making it useful on broadband and dial-up connections. It also includes impressive features such as echo cancellation, automatic gain control, voice activity detection, quality-of-service (QOS), adaptive jitter buffer and packet-loss concealment.

LynxPhone is available for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, NetBSD and FreeBSD.


Bitlynx announces SigComp stack

Today, Bitlynx Technologies Inc. announced the availability of their SigComp stack. The stack is fully compliant with RFC3320 and conforms to additional proposed standards. The stack will see deployment in application services in next-generation 3G networks.

The SigComp stack has a modular design and includes support for datagram and streaming protocols, SIP and SDP dictionaries, and the Deflate, LZSS and LZHJ (V.44) algorithms.

The SigComp stack is available for Windows, Mac OS X, NetBSD and Linux. Embedded platforms are supported upon request.


Telezin uses softphone from Bitlynx Technologies

A partnership between Telezin Pty Ltd and Bitlynx Technologies Inc means that Telezin will exclusively use a softphone based on Bitlynx Technologies for use on their VoIP network.

Bitlynx Technologies will also be providing the VoIP server infrastructure.
